From Loess to solonchak - presentation on the soil types of the Hortobágy

On 17 December 2024, the Hortobágy National Park Directorate will organize the fourth event in its lecture series connected to the Grassland-HU LIFE Integrated Project.

The speaker of the upcoming event will be Dr. Tibor József Novák, Associate Professor, who will discuss soil formation processes in the Hortobágy and the specific characteristics of its soil types.

The aim of the Directorate’s programme series is to explore the origins, causes, and impacts of differing perspectives that arise from the distinct yet interdependent activities of conservation managers and farmers; to identify shared objectives; and to foster dialogue for more effective cooperation.

The fourth lecture will take place on 17 December 2024, starting at 5:00 p.m., in the Hortobágy National Park Visitor Centre (4071 Hortobágy, Petőfi Square 9).
