The Hortobágy National Park Directorate, in connection with the Grassland-HU LIFE Integrated Project, is launching a series of lectures designed for farmers.

Throughout the eight session of the educational series, leading experts will share their insight about natural changes affecting various segments of agriculture, as well as the latest trends and techniques shaping modern  farming.

The aim of the programme is to explore the origins, causes, and impacts of differing perspectives that arise from the distinct yet interdependent activities of conservation managers and farmers; to identify common objectives; and to foster dialogue to promote more effective cooperation.

The first lecture will take place on 6 November 2024, at 5 p.m. in the Visitor Centre of Hortobágy National Park (4071 Hortobágy, Petőfi Square 9).

Title of the lecture: Without Speculation – The Landscape History of Hortobágy, as Far Back as We Can Scientifically Reconstruct.

Lecturer: Szabolcs Balogh, Grassland Conservation Adviser of the Hortobágy National Park Directorate and PhD candidate at the Institute of Earth Sciences, University of Debrecen.

Attendance is free of charge, but registration is required. Registration is available via the provided link. / Click here to register.
